Cooling-off period, refund schedule, and Fee Protection Scheme (FPS).
Last updated: 6 May 2026
This Refund Policy applies to all courses delivered by Canadian Education College Pte. Ltd. ("CEC", "we", "us" or "our"). It is designed to comply with the requirements of the Committee for Private Education (CPE) Singapore, including the mandatory Standard PEI-Student Contract and the Fee Protection Scheme (FPS).
All students who sign the Standard PEI-Student Contract are entitled to a 7 working days cooling-off period after the date the contract is signed. During this period, you may withdraw from the course and receive a refund of the highest percentage stated in the refund table below β even if you have already started the course.
If we are unable to commence the course on the agreed Course Commencement Date, or terminate the course before the Course Completion Date, or are unable to ensure that you meet the course-entry requirements as agreed, you will be entitled to 100% refund of all fees already paid.
If you withdraw from the course for any reason other than those in Section 2, the refund will be calculated based on the date we receive your written withdrawal notice, in accordance with the table below:
*The exact refund percentages applicable to your enrolment are stated in Schedule D of your Standard PEI-Student Contract. The figures above are illustrative β please refer to your signed contract for the binding amounts.
The following items are non-refundable regardless of when you withdraw:
To withdraw from your course:
You may request to transfer to a different course or defer your start date by submitting a written request. Transfers and deferments are subject to:
Course transfers and deferments are not automatic refunds. The refund table in Section 3 applies if a transfer or deferment is treated as a withdrawal.
In accordance with CPE requirements, CEC protects all course fees paid by students through an approved Fee Protection Scheme. In the unlikely event that CEC is unable to deliver your course due to insolvency or regulatory closure, the FPS provider will arrange for a refund of unconsumed course fees, or for you to continue your studies at another institution.
Details of CEC's current FPS provider are available on request β please email contact@canadian.edu.sg.
If your Student Pass application is rejected by ICA, you will be refunded all course fees paid, less the non-refundable items listed in Section 4. If your Student Pass is later revoked or cancelled by ICA for any reason attributable to you, the refund table in Section 3 applies.
If CEC is unable to deliver a course due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including pandemics, government directives, natural disasters, or major infrastructure failures), we will, where possible, deliver the course in an alternative format (e.g. online). Where this is not possible, refunds will be calculated in accordance with CPE guidelines applicable at the time.
If you are unhappy with the refund decision, please raise the matter in writing with our admissions team within 14 days. Unresolved disputes may be referred to the CPE Student Services Centre or the Singapore Mediation Centre in accordance with the dispute-resolution clause in your Standard PEI-Student Contract.
