TESOL E-Learning

From speaking English to teaching English. An online programme you can join from anywhere in the world.

What is TESOL

What is TESOL?

The ability to speak English and the ability to teach it clearly are not the same thing.

Designing lessons around each learner's age, English level and goals β€” and teaching while checking their understanding β€” requires specialised knowledge of language acquisition theory, teaching methodology and assessment.

TESOL teaches you, in a systematic way, the theory and practical teaching skills for teaching English to speakers of other languages.

It is a programme for mastering English teaching methods used around the world and becoming an English education professional.

The teaching skills you gain with TESOL

TESOL is not just about expanding your knowledge of English β€” you learn to build lessons that help learners understand English and actually use it.

  • Teaching methods matched to each learner's level and goals
  • Creating effective lesson plans
  • Lesson design that develops all four English skills
  • Assessment methods that verify learning outcomes
  • Using technology in English education
  • Practical teaching ability through practice teaching
  • Reflecting on and improving your own lessons

Beyond theory, you develop classroom-ready teaching skills through assignments, lesson-plan writing and practice teaching.
